UK: Hundreds gathered last night at Sainsburys in Brighton, to hold a ‘kiss-in’ in protest after a lesbian couple were told that another customer found the sight of them kissing “disgusting”, and were told they had to leave.
"it’s just a phase"
i mean the moon has phases but it’s still literally always the moon. just because the moon’s doing something different today doesn’t mean it was lying about being the moon yesterday
Still don’t believe how much of a piece of shit monster Dr. Luke is? #FreeKeshaLuke #StayStrongKesha
Don’t ignore this. Realize what a monster Dr. Luke is.
things that are sex shaming -
- "she’s a sl-t for having all that sex"
- "girls shouldn’t wear tank tops to school because it is distracting"
- "that skin tight dress means she’s asking for it"things that are not sex shaming -
- "I would prefer to not see a stranger’s butt"
- "I do not want to hear explicit details about your sex life"there’s a difference between sex shaming and wanting sexual security
It’s kinda sad we have explain these things, but here we are
shaming fat people is shitty
shaming skinny people is shitty
shaming people for their body is shitty
are we fuckin’ done here
Older guys who make a big deal out of girls turning 18 genuinely terrify me. Like if you’re 35 or some shit and you would totally date or sleep with an 18 year old, you would with a younger girl (maybe even much younger) if it was legal. You don’t care about her emotional maturity or ethical sex or mutual informed consent, you care about not getting in trouble.
today i learned that mountain lions meow and it sounds RIDICULOUS
I love women,” coming from a man, almost always means “I love when women please me,” “I love to imagine fucking women,” “I love to jack off to women’s pornified bodies,” “I love women who don’t challenge me in a way that makes me uncomfortable,” or “I love the idea of women.
"I live in a neighborhood where my husband & I are 1 of the 3 Black families that live here.. Tonight the KKK knocked on our door!!! I was already looking out the window and seen them coming down my driveway. I screamed for my children to come upstairs in my room and into my master bath. . As I seen there faces in fear.. my mind flash back to Malcom X. My oldest understand but not the rest. My husband prides his self on teaching his wife & family self defense when he not home…. My heart was pounding! Palms sweating! Voice weak.. I look at my son.. And my mind drifted to Micheal Brown, Treyvon.Martin, Shawn Bell. WE legal over here.. everything registered! As the knocks kept coming .. I mustard up the voice strength to say just a minute! My body weak.. but my mind strong! I open the door.. Scope on! Beam on! Safety off!!! WHAT CAN I DO FOR YALL!!! Cause you at THE WRONG HOUSE! #FacesPriceless!! I will Protect. My Home, My Children, MY LEGACY!!!"
Yes, Lord. Protect those babies.
The Snoop Dogg/Iggy Azalea beef illuminates the intersectionality burdens that black feminists face when it comes to Hip Hop.
Either we’re forced to excuse Snoop’s misogynistic comments towards Iggy because we’re black, or we’re forced to defend Iggy because we’re women…when they’re both wrong.
And misogyny was never an issue in regards to any black female rappers, but when it’s a white female rapper, the world capes for her.
There’s levels to this.
LESBIAN JUDGE WILL NOT WED STRAIGHT COUPLES
It’s nothing personal, but Dallas County judge Tonya Parker does not perform wedding ceremonies for heterosexual couples looking to tie the knot. What is her reason? The state of Texas, along with 30 other states, does not currently allow same-sex marriage. Despite recent victories in places like Oregon and Pennsylvania, many states are still in court over the issue leading this openly gay judge to politely turn away couples until marriage is equal.
In an interview with the Dallas Voice, Parker said ,“I’m sorry. I don’t perform marriage ceremonies because we are in a state that does not have marriage equality, and until it does, I am not going to partially apply the law to one group of people that doesn’t apply to another group of people.”
While some are outraged, many applaud Parker, pointing out that same-sex couples have been denied marriages for years and that this is just an ironic dose of how homosexuals are treated.
Countdown before this gets cited as an example of ~heterophobia in action~
